Our Story
Don Alejandro Montoro was born into a respected family in northern Spain, where craftsmanship, discipline, and honor were considered a family's greatest inheritance.
Driven by patience rather than profit, he traveled to Latin America to master every stage of cigar making—from cultivating tobacco and fermenting leaves to blending, rolling, and aging each cigar by hand.
Rather than pursuing mass production, Alejandro chose uncompromising quality. Every cigar carried the Montoro name, and he believed that protecting that name mattered more than expanding the business.
His reputation spread quietly among those who valued craftsmanship above quantity. Even as offers to buy or expand the company arrived, he refused them all, believing that true luxury could never exist without patience, integrity, and complete control over quality.
Today, the Montoro family continues his legacy exactly as he intended—remaining privately owned and producing cigars according to the same uncompromising principles.
